You can easily find the serial number of most phones just by looking in the settings, here are the steps for IOS and Android:
iPhone: Settings → General → About.
Android phones: Settings → About Device → Status.
Or you can use a special code visit your dial screen, enter *#06# and wait for a code with your mobile serial number to appear on the screen.
